New Scotland Records 7" Vinyl Single Series Vol. II

New Scotland Records presents the second instalment in their 7″ Vinyl Single Series. This round features new contributions from David Myles, Matthew Grimson, and a re-issue of Myles Deck & The Fuzz‘s acclaimed Police Cops EP. All songs featured in the 7″ series are recorded in Scotland Yard Studios by producer Joel Plaskett.

“I started New Scotland Records to release songs recorded with friends from my musical community in Nova Scotia and abroad,” claims Plaskett. “The majority of these records were produced at Scotland Yard on 2” analog tape with the aim of keeping it sonic and spontaneous. The artists released on New Scotland are an eclectic lot but what connects the dots are great songs.”

“You can buy these recordings online but the large staff here at New Scotland encourage you to order a physical copy to help fund the annual Christmas dance we throw at the Bayer’s Road Shopping Mall. Vinyl records are a fine way to enjoy music and they’re almost as indestructible as cockroaches. Lots of time went into making them rocking and rugged for the dusty Salvation Army stores of 2030. First vinyl release by this legendary Nova Scotian songwriter whose songs have been covered on record by Sloan and Joel Plaskett. Matthew’s gravelly voice delivers lyrics both heartbreaking and humorous. Freaky and fearless, Grimson delivers his own message.
